HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEYTON!

In less than 2 hours (September 29th) it will be my sweet little baby's 3rd birthday! I really can't figure out where the time has gone. Peyton was such a surprise pregnancy and to be totally honest, I was devastated when I found out I was pregnant. It wasn't something I wanted AT THAT TIME. However, it was one of the greatest blessings of my life! I am so thankful that Peyton entered our lives when she did. I had heard from MANY people that "3 kids is the hardest", and it totally is! Looking back, 1 and 2 children was cake compared to this. I wouldn't have it any other way though. Life just wouldn't be as sweet without her. Peyton is such a fun girl! She's so dang smart and so full of personality. Sometimes her adorableness just about kills me and I almost kiss her little face off! No joke. She is the perfect addition to our family and we all love her to pieces. There is nothing more I'd rather do tomorrow than to spoil the heck out of her. Happy Birthday to my beautiful, sassy and DIVA of a baby girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Start of Something New

The first week of September was CRAZY! In addition to the girls being in school (& everything else in life), we started a few new things as well. First up was Shay. She started a jazz & tumbling class with Tiffany Dance Company. She was very excited!

The next day Peyton started "pre-preschool". Ten friends and I are doing a co-op preschool for our 3 and 4 year olds. We will trade off teaching and it's only once a week for an hour and a half.
Peyton looked so cute and insists on wearing her lion backpack every time.
That night Kaleigh started her jazz and hip hop class with TDC.
She loves it!
Then the next day Peyton started her ballet and jazz tumbling class with TDC. Check out that sass!

It's a crazy schedule when you throw all this into everything else that's already going on, but it's so worth it. The girls love it and want to do it and that's all that matters!

ABC's

Shayla is learning how to spell and read so the other day I asked her to come up with as many words as she could with the abc's on the fridge while I made dinner. I laughed so hard when I saw the end results. She came up with:
LICK
ON
SHAY
TUB
MEG
and DRZ (which she said was doctors)
I always think it's cute to see what kids come up with. :)

:)

A Walmart run? 30 minutes (total time) 7 Goldfish? $2.08

A little girls uncontrollable excitement to have her very own fish? PRICELESS!

Happy Birthday Shayla!!!

Tomorrow, September 25th, marks Shayla's 6 year Birthday! She has, by far, been one of our greatest blessings. Shayla is a beautiful, smart, compassionate, thoughtful and hilarious girl. She is always the first to volunteer for service and is always the first to give comfort in times of sorrow. Being her Mom is one of the greatest blessings. I love this little girl with every fiber of my being. She is a true gem! I am so proud of the girl she is becoming and I look forward to what the future brings to her. She will, no doubt, go far in life. Like this post, this day will be ALL ABOUT HER!!! Here are some of my favorite Shay-shots from the past year. Enjoy her beauty.

Christina Perri - Jar of Hearts Official Video

I LOVE this girl! When I first listened to this song I BAWLED because I could relate it so well to a relationship in my life. Thank you Christina Perri, you rock!

MUD BATH!

Kids (usually) love getting dirty. There's just something fun about it. My kids are no exception. They definitely inherited that from me cause I LOVE getting dirty. So...on Labor Day I decided to fill a kiddie pool with tons of dirt and then I poured bucket after bucket of hot bath water over it. It was a heavenly combination! Peyton takes after Scott and didn't even want a speck of mud on her. If she got splashed, she grabbed the hose and washed it off. :)

Kaleigh and Shayla were GAME ON!!!
They had such a blast! It was torture to stand there and watch them cause I wanted to get in so badly.
So I did! They were SO happy to have Mommy join in on the madness. We had a blast painting each other, and it felt oh-so-good!
Ah! If you haven't ever taken a mud bath, I highly recommend it. Your skin will never feel so soft. Scott refused to get in. (party pooper!)
Sweet Shay...
And sweet Kaleigh!

It's memories like these that I know the girls and I will cherish forever!!! :)
