February Happenings 2012, Part 1

February came and went so fast it left us wondering where the time went! There's no explanation for this picture of Peyton. I just love it. :) On the 4th we were invited to go to a Jazz game with the management team for Scott's job. We had box seats and had a BLAST! The food was good, the company was good and the game was against the Lakers...so it was awesome! I truly love who Scott works for.

The halftime show was a bmx bike presentation. It was rad!

The next day was Superbowl Sunday. As usual, we had Suzie over and ate lots of good grub. We had a veggie tray, 7 layer bean dip and Carnita's tacos. Yum!

Our girls went off track the next day so we girls decided to go get pedicures. :) I love having all girls!

Then we went to Marble Slab for ice cream.

♥♥♥♥On the 7th Kaleigh and Scott had a Daddy/Daughter Dance for Activity Days. Scott surprised Kay and came home from work with a beautiful necklace and bracelet to match her dress. What a sweet Dad!

They had a lot of fun dancing the night away. They both said how much they loved the quality time they got together.

On the 11th Scott and I had an overnight stay and dinner planned at Anniversary Inn. We couldn't wait! It was a make-up for our cancelled trip for my birthday (because the girls had a cold). Well, lets just say nothing went as planned. Peyton had a headache that day and we accidentally gave her Tylenol on an empty stomach. It caused her to throw up so we didn't want to leave her in case she was sick. Suzie took the other girls and we headed to our dinner reservation at Biaggi's WITH Peyton in tow. She clearly wasn't sick and was bouncing off the walls and ate almost an entire kids pizza, so we took her to Suzie. Alone time. Finally.Yay!

We finally checked into our room at almost 8pm and were very unhappy with our room. We complained so they switched us to an amazing room!It was the Twilight Suite and it was gorgeous! We spent the night...well...um...nevermind. We had an amazing night and morning!

The 14th was obviously Valentine's Day. We love that day! Scott ran home to have our tradition of heart shaped pizza for lunch.

Then I took the girls to the movies to see this...

That night we had a delicious dinner of steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus.

And for dessert we busted out the chocolate fountain!

Chocolate kisses!

What a wonderful Valentine's Day!

We had overhead storage racks put into our garage and the girls quickly found their new favorite hide out.

Scott and Dexter ♥Kyle and Sarah found out they're having a baby BOY, so I decided to have everyone over for dinner and dessert on the 19th to celebrate. Brayden Gailey is expected to join our family around June 29th and I couldn't be more excited!!! How cute is she preggo?

On the 22nd we were leaving for Scott's annual work conference in Tucson, AZ. We decided to take the kids this year and make a little vacay of it. We planned on staying a day in Vegas on the way and on the way back. The morning we were leaving, Scott and Kaleigh woke up throwing up. We think it was food poison. We tried to talk Shayla and Peyton out of leaving but it broke their heart. Long story short, I drove alone with them to Vegas and Scot and Kaleigh went back to bed so they could fly into Vegas later that day.We stayed at The Golden Nugget. I had seen it on TV and wanted to go because of their new pool. IT.Was.Amazing!!!!

Shayla loved lounging by the waterfall.

A missed flight, a wrongly booked date and over $1,000 later....Scott and Kaleigh finally arrived at around 4:30 pm! (Don't ask) You wouldn't have even known anything had been wrong with Kay. She was ready to rock and roll!

The pool closed soon after they got their so we enjoyed the hot tub.

That night Scott and Kaleigh headed back to the jacuzzi while the rest of us relaxed and watched a movie.

We felt bad that Kaleigh didn't get to hardly swim so the next morning we headed downstairs as soon as the pool opened. The pool there is surrounded by an enormous shark/fish tank and there is a huge water slide that goes right through the tank. Talk about COOL! It was unbelievable and we can't wait to go back. So cool! The sharks were huge.

Daddy and Shay ♥

After swimming we cleaned up, got lunch and then headed to Tucson. We had no idea how long, scary and boring that drive is. Needless to say, we didn't get to the Starr Resort until MIDNIGHT! We were completely exhausted.

February Happenings 2012, Part 2

Our first morning at the Resort the girls and I took a nice long walk around and enjoyed the sunshine, warmth and beauty. We love to see all the different cactus'. Poor Scott was stuck in meetings from 5:30am to 6pm. No fun! I'm so appreciative of my hard working man. He provides a perfect life for us girls and we're blessed.
They are so cute!

After some of my meetings I took the girls swimming. Pretty girls!

Kaleigh and Shayla enjoyed lounging on the lazy river for a couple hours.

Our diva, Peyton, on the other hand just wanted to lounge on a chair in a cabana.

And I was perfectly fine with that because I didn't feel like swimming anyways.

That night was a formal dinner and meetings. The food was waaay too fancy but we loved being together. The company provided awesome child care anytime we were required to be at things.

The next day I was supposed to go to a fun spouse event while Scott was in meetings. I chicken out (not wanting my girls in daycare again) and decided to go swimming all day. It was amazing! Scott ditched his last meeting and met us there at the end of the day. Here's a sight I very rarely see...Scott relaxing! lol

Peyton was only interested in "working on her tan". Ha!

Kaleigh and Shayla are total water rats!

Scott and girls in the lazy river ♥

OK, there was this lady laying out by us. It seemed as though she forgot her bottoms, right? RIGHT! Not only did we have to see her butt hanging out the entire time, but she gave us a FULL ON CROTCH SHOT every time she got up. Yuck!

Shay Shay and I ♥

We also played lots of croquet.

That night was the themed night. It was "70's/Disco" themed and we decided to go all out. Scott looked hilarious!!! Even his closest friends/co-workers had no idea it was him at first. Hilarious!

I rocked a blond Afro! I also wore false lashes for the first time in my life and can I just say they were the most horrible thing in the world!? I absolutely hated them and couldn't wait to rip them off.PEACE!!!

Ready to rock ♥

The night was so fun! Everything was disco themed and they had disco music blaring. We had a blast dancing and were even nominated for best dressed couple. :)

The next morning we went to our favorite restaurant in the resort for breakfast before heading to Vegas.

And then we drove the awful drive. Again. Welcome to NV!

Scott was dying to see the Hoover Dam so we took a short tour on our way to Vegas.

We got to the Stratosphere, yay! We got a suite for an amazing deal and LOVED our room! It was massive and so clean. We had a breathtaking view and could even see the bungee jumpers right out our window. We enjoyed the room for a bit and then headed to a fun 50's diner in the hotel.

And then it was jacuzzi time! We loved our room and didn't want to leave. We headed back home the next day.

Cute little Peyton and Dexter! We missed him so much while we were gone. My parents watched him for us and didn't want to give him back. :)

What an awesome month! I looooove my family and my life. I'm SO grateful.
