Oquirrh Mountain Temple

On the 28th we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was such a beautiful experience. The temple is absolutely breath taking inside. The Celestial Room brought Mom and I to tears immediately. I am so glad we went!!! I feel so blessed to live only 7 minutes from this beautiful temple. Needless to say, I will be going OFTEN!

The Birthday Girl!

Fortunately while family was in town it fell on Mom's actual Birthday. She turned the big 42 on July 27th! I tried to make the day as special as I could, so I made her a special breakfast.... Dad took her out to lunch and shopping that day and then us adults went to Goodwood for dinner...... (thanks for babysitting Suz!)

Here's Dad giving the Birthday girl a big fat kiss!
In tow was.....Danny and Megan,
Sarah and Kyle,
And Scott and I.
After the restaurant Dan and Meg had to head home and the rest of us headed to the movies to see "The Proposal". Kyle REALLY had to go to the bathroom and was afraid he wouldn't make it, so he used the trash can instead! LOL (awesome, I know! :))
We all loved the movie. Well, Dad pretended to. We had a great time together and hope Mom had a fun Birthday! We all love her soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!
(P.S., Mom WISHES she only turned 42!!!) ;)

Tender Moments

Anyone who knows me knows I take a ton of pictures. I do for the very reason that I feel life is short and relationships are what make life so wonderful, so why not capture those tender moments? Here are some pictures from when family was here that I feel are special.
The girls playing checkers outside of Cracker Barrel one night...
Shayla and Grandma have a very special bond. They just ADORE each other! I love how happy they look to be together...

Aunt Sarah is AWESOME because she's still willing to play Barbies with Kay and Shay!
And the girls LOVE her for that! (and many other reasons)
Kaleigh wrote Grandpa & Grandma a thank you note on her Magna Doodle.
This is sooo sweet!
And the girls adore Aunt Nancy! (Mom's BFF) Doesn't she look like she'd be their Grandma?!
Oh, and I LOVE my Axy-boy!!!
Mom, Sarah and I saw "My Sister's Keeper" together. As you can tell from the picture, we BAWLED!
The girls are in love with Sarah and Kyle!!! They are so good with our girls too.
Peyton and Grandpa are seriously buddies. She just can't get enough of him!
Such a good Grandma!
This is too cute. Both Axton and Peyton have a special bond with Suzie. They LOVE her!
Grandpa is too sweet! He read many books to his little side-kick.
Peyton loves Sarah too!!!

Pioneer Day

This Pioneer Day was extra special because Dad, Mom and Sarah arrived that day. We had a yummy dinner and then did our own little firework show. Here's some of the pictures I took...

A weekend to never forget

In early July Dad and Mom flew Danny and I down to Cali for the purpose of us all, as a family, to clean and organize their garage. We all wanted to help. Mission accomplished! The garage turned out fabulous and we had a blast doing it. More importantly, we had SO MUCH fun hanging out as a family. No kids. No spouses. JUST US!!! It was amazing. Here's the garage..My brotha' and I. Dan, me, Sarah, Mom and Dad went to dinner that night and then saw Harry Potter.

I LOVE my Dad and Mom!!! They are the best parents a girl could ever ask for.
The next night we all went to our favorite restaurant, Panda Inn. Aunt Nancy and Nana joined us. It was TOO good!
Late that night us siblings headed out for some much needed quality time. It was weird not having Mike there. It didn't feel complete, but we had a BLAST anyway. We all missed him and talked and remembered him A LOT!
We went to the Anaheim 300 (my favorite place) and danced and bowled. Don't you just love our matching bowling shoes? lol
We then went to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert and then wandered and terrorized the Garden Walk. We laughed our butts off! We then headed back to Dad and Mom's and just talked and laughed till almost 3 am. It was FABULOUS! I love these guys!!!
On my last day there I got to spend some quality time with Corey. He is such a doll and such a good boy. I love him to pieces! He reminds me of Mike SO much!!!
Here's Sarah and I on the way to the airport doing what we do best...goofing off. :)

I am so thankful my parents flew me down. It was much needed. I loved every minute of it!

Park pics

We have the pleasure of living around a lot of beautiful and fun parks. We have 4 that are less than a block away and boy do we utilize them! Here are some cute park pics that I love...
Peyton's favorite thing is the swing. She smiles the whole time. These two are best friends, let me tell you!

Kaleigh is SUCH a great big sister. Shayla idolizes her. It's too sweet!
I hope this is how it will always be...Shayla looking up to Kaleigh. (as long as good choices are being made, of coarse!)
Sweet little Peyton loves her big sisters and tries hard to keep up with them. She's a doll!
