I'll always be here through thick and thin.

You can come to me, I'll listen.

I'm your friend, I won't push you away.

When you need a hug my arms are wide open.

When you need to talk I have an open ear.

You're growing up and getting older,

know that I'm always here. I'm not going anywhere.

Wherever you are, I'm there with you.

You're in my heart and in my prayers.

Just know I'm here. I truly care.

You're my sister, you mean so much.

I never want to see you hurt or cry, I'll wipe away the tears and chase away your fears.

I want to see you learn and achieve.

Just believe and have faith.

You can do anything!

You're beautiful inside and out.

You're smart and very talented.

You're many things, but most of all, you're my sister.

I believe in YOU and I hope you know that I'll never stop loving you.

Happy 19th Birthday sweet little Sarah! Thank you for being my best friend. I LOVE YOU!!!

New Moon

Last night I attended the midnight showing of New Moon. First, Suzie, Cami and I went to dinner at SkyBox. It was delicious and I just LOVE these two girls!!! Suzie is my best friend since birth and Cami, I swear, is my sister from another Mother! Then we met up with everyone at Jordan Commons. There were some FREAKS there, let me tell you. It was a people-watchers HEAVEN! I've never seen so much teased hair in my life.

Me and my bestie!
I had a blast and enjoyed every second of last night. We got home at 3am and I couldn't sleep cause I was too wound up. Running off of 0-sleep today will be very interesting. Especially since I have a jam-packed busy day.

Thanks so much ladies!!!! (and Dr.Kyle Christensen for the free tickets. SCORE!)

Sledding!

Yesterday it snowed all day long. It was gorgeous! Apparently it snowed all night too. So this morning we woke up to a beautiful winter wonderland. After church we all headed to the big park to go sledding. One of our favorite winter activities. Kaleigh's good friend Ciara even came along with us. This was Peyton's 1st REAL time sledding. All of the girls had a blast and Scott and I played like kids as well! LOVE this season!!!

The girls discovered that if you coat the big slide in snow and combine it with the slippery material of snow pants you FLY off the slide. It was SO much fun and we all got in on the action. I got a great shot of Scott flying off!

First Snow Fall

Today it snowed. ALL DAY! I spent half the day Christmas shopping. There is something magical about Christmas shopping while it's snowing. After living somewhere all my life that didn't have real seasons, I truly appreciate when the weather changes. It's beautiful!

Our Little Hoarder

This sweet girl cracks me up! Peyton has been a very funny addition to our family since day 1. She has a lot of quirks that make her HER. One of them is hoarding. As I have mentioned in previous posts she wears an insane amount of accessories at all times. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, crowns and tiaras and headbands. It's nuts. Some days I can convince her to not wear AS much. And here's where the hoarding comes in...she always has to carry armfuls of junk around everywhere she goes. Here is her at the museum the other day. Notice the amount of necklaces and bracelets. And just in case you couldn't see well enough...

And here she is last night before bed. She insists on going to sleep with an armful of toys. Don't worry. The necklace came off after falling asleep.

It drives us crazy but it's what makes Peyton, well, PEYTON! :)

Veteran's Day

I am so grateful for Veteran's Day. I am grateful for the opportunity it gives us to honor those brave men and woman who have served our country. Many of them paying the ultimate sacrifice; their lives! We all get caught up in our lives and seldom take time to think about these people. I wish we had more than one day a year to honor them. This country is as great as it is because of them! Military service is something I really respect and is talked a lot about in our home. I am thankful for the freedoms in which we enjoy and for those who have fought to defend them. I am thankful for those within my family who have served. Thank you to my father-in-law Norm, both of Scott's Grandpa's, both of my Grandpa's and my beloved brother. I love them all and will always honor them.

And as one of my favorite quotes, that I quote very often, goes: "God Bless Our Country and ALL WHO DEFEND HER!".

Feels like an Eternity :(

It was 6 months ago today that we lost my brother. It was, by far, the worst day of my life. I can truly say that life is just NOT the same without him. I miss him everyday and I now realize that that will never change.

My heart breaks for his son, Corey, who will grow up without Mike's presence. That's just not right. Please keep this beautiful little boy in your prayers. Especially when attending the Temple. He needs them. No child should have to grow up without their Daddy. :(

A letter to her cousin...

Today Kaleigh wrote a letter to her cousin, Shelly. It cracked us up! She is becoming such a big girl. She constructed it COMPLETELY on her own, never asking for help once. I had to document this one cause I don't ever want to forget it. Here is EXACTLY what it says, enjoy! ( i will do her exact spelling)

"Dear Shelly, geuss what? We have a geust his name is Lloyd. he is a Guinea pig. he is very sweet. he has a cow lick. is'int that Funny? hahahaha! he eat's salad. For three weeks and a orange. he like's to hide. he churpes a lot. he can't be held for two days, but that was Friday and Thursday. We bide our guinea pig on Wednesday night but that Wednesday morning when heded home we saw two puppy's on the street so we got them and and got home, put them in the backyard, put them in the bath, oh and I forgot something...one was humping on it's brother. my mom think's it's grosse, but I think it's funny! but i forgot something. Are guinea pig is brown and white. Bye Bye. Love Kaleigh Michelle Biehn."
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL!!! LOVE that girl!

"Lloyd"

Long story short....the girls and I rescued these adorable little Yorkies the other day after they apparently escaped from their owners and almost got hit by many cars on Wednesday. We got them returned and it broke the girls' hearts to have to part with them. Throughout the day many tears were shed and meals were not eaten because they were sad. Well, that night Scott and I had a long talk with them and discussed the fact that a dog or cat can NOT be an option for them. They were devastated. They LOVE animals. SO.....we compromised. Kaleigh, Shayla and I headed to PetsMart and got our first pet. He has a sweet set-up!

His name is Lloyd, and he is our pet Guinea Pig. He is adorable and PERFECT for our family! He is quiet, low maintenance, doesn't ruin our lawn, furniture or carpet, is naturally a clean animal, doesn't stink, is easy to leave when we vacation, is friendly and doesn't bite. That's why he's PERFECT! :)
Kaleigh could not put him down! It was love at first sight.
Shayla almost cried she was so excited.
Peyton adores him and wants to hold him constantly.
Scott and I grew up with animals (and no, we aren't referring to our siblings) and felt like it was important that the girls have that experience too. They are elated!
And to be quite honest, I fell in love with him immediately too! I couldn't wait to wake up the next morning and hold him. He's so cuddly and cute.
Even Scott loves him!

It has been so fun to watch the girls melt over him the last few days. They wake up every morning extra early to feed him and sing him songs. It's just adorable! We were told that once he began to recognize us he would whistle at us and it is so true. It's the cutest thing and it melts the girls heart when he shows them affection. We also told them that to keep him healthy they need to keep their room extra clean (woot woot) and it has worked like a charm! Their room has been spotless since. YES!!! Lloyd (named after my favorite Grandpa) has been an awesome addition to our family and we look forward to many memories ahead.

These are a few of my Favorite Things...
