The World's Greatest Mom

Growing up I always knew how great my Mom was. I always wanted to be like her. She was beautiful, hard working, caring and compassionate. I am so thankful for all that she did for us. Perhaps the thing I'm most grateful for is her decision to be a stay at home Mom. I specifically remember being in elementary school and having to go home one day because I was not feeling well. There were a few other kids in the nurses office doing the same thing. The nurses called all the moms and MINE was the only one who was home and now on her way. I remember the disappointment the other kids felt and the things they said. I mostly remember the way I felt. I was young, but I was very aware of how lucky I was.

Now as I am an adult, and a mother myself, I appreciate that sacrifice even more! I know first hand how hard it is to stay home. I know the exhaustion, the frustration and most of all the scrutiny you face from others who think their decision is better. I am forever grateful to you, Mom, for making that important decision. I always knew that you were there for me and that gave me so much peace and comfort. My relationship with with you is one of the most important things in my life. You are more than my Mom. You are my best friend! Thank you SO much for everything you have done for me throughout my life. I am thankful for your advice, council, opinion, love, understanding and support. You are the best! I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always. Forever and Ever my Mommy you'll be!
