Peyton, the firecracker!

This girl simply cracks me up!!! She has the funniest little personality. She used to be the fattest little baby. She was a chunky monkey. The older she gets, the thinner she gets. It's funny, and kind of sad. Here she is on the toilet this morning. I was cracking up at her little six-pack!

Peyton also has a fear of water getting in her eyes. Lately, she insists on wearing goggles that belong to her swim dog. She's just hilarious!

I love that girl!!!

Why can my 7 1/2 year old draw a horse's head better than me? Geesh! Great job Kaleigh!

Dear Suzie,

Dear Suzie,

I think everyone in the world should have one of you. Life would be a lot brighter! You are not only the greatest friend a girl could ask for, but you are the most loving Aunt to our girls. We adore you! There is a cute saying that I love that always makes me think of you. It goes, "It doesn't matter where you go in life, what you do or how much you have. It's who you have beside you." You have always been by my side. My WHOLE life! There are so many trials that I have gone through that you helped me overcome. You have never given up on me. I know that I have been out of whack the past 7 months. Being my friend has probably not been easy. I thank you for being right there and carrying me at times. There is no question in my mind if you truly care about me. You show you do! Moving away from family has been, at times, very difficult. Thank you for making it easier. I love you. Scott loves you. Kaleigh loves you. Shayla loves you. Peyton loves you. Everyone who knows you loves you. I have complete confidence that VERY soon a man will love you too. And when that time comes, I will thank my Heavenly Father because you deserve all the happiness in the world! Thank you for all that you do and all that you are.

Love,

Shelly

Random Post

Here are a few random things that I wanted to share.
As many of you know, Kaleigh is an aspiring artist. She frequently sits us down to sketch us. It's hilarious! She is pretty dang good, I might add. I love that girl!
Shayla has been learning how to ride a 2-wheel bike lately. Scott's the best teacher!

She had the pleasure of having Grandpa Griffin here to help, too. She's learning fast and doing great!
Shayla is a firecracker! She loves taking pictures of her and I making silly faces and I just love her for that.
Sweet little Peyton did this the other day. She sat Indian-style all on her own. I know it's no big deal, but as a mommy, I love watching my kids grow and learn. She's a doll!

The End :)

Sushi!

Last night Suzie and I had a girls night out. A much needed one. We decided to go to her favorite restaurant, The Happy Sumo. I felt like trying something totally outside my comfort zone; sushi! We got the "Vegas Roll" which consists of salmon, seaweed, cream cheese, rice and is coated in tempura. It was good! I can't say I LOVED it only because I absolutely hate the taste of seaweed. Other than that I thought it was great! I am very glad I tried it. It was fun walking around the Gateway to work it off, too! :)

A visit from the Cypress Biehn's

Jeremy, Jocelyn, Natalie and Tessa (aka, the Cypress Biehns) came to visit us last Friday night the 20th. They stayed till Tuesday the 24th. It was so much fun! We did a lot of fun things and I took a ton of pictures, but here are my favorites. The thing we love most about Jeremy and Jocelyn is their ability to let loose and have fun. They make us feel like teenagers again. (after the kids are in bed, of coarse!) Scott's brother taught us a fun little trick with Pixie sticks. It was hilarious!!! The girls were in heaven having their cousins around. Here's Kaleigh with Tessa, Peyton and Natalie. So cute!

A cousins dinner date...
The girls all decided to make a blanket out of our area rug.
We love these two!
These three were just too cute together! The twins are only 3 months older than Peyton so it was like having triplets running around. They were little buddies.
There was a whole lot of music and dancing going down here.
And, of coarse, there were food challenges between the men. I will spare the details. The pictures below speak for themselves. I will only say that I haven't laughed that hard in years!!!
Here's a during shot of Jeremy....LOL
And Scott.....LOL (I love those guys! They're so fun!)
I sent Jeremy and Jocelyn off to do some sledding while I bathed the three babies. They had so much fun together!
Here's the cousins at The Pie Pizzeria. Aren't they all adorable?!
Our Cypress Biehn's :)
And us :)
I love Jocelyn! She is great and oh-so-perfect for Jeremy!

We loved having them all here and were sad to see them go. We are thankful that they make the effort to come stay with us every year. We look forward to their next trip already! It was a blast and we adore them even more than ever. Love you guys!!! Thanks for all the fun. xoxo

Grizzlies Game

Last Friday the 20th, Scott's job held a fun event for us all. They got us private box seats to the Utah Grizzlies hockey game. They also catered a fancy dinner for us too. It was yummy and really fun! The girls had never been to a hockey game and Scott and I assumed they would hate it and be bored to death. They surprised us and LOVED it! They cheered the whole time and their eyes were glued to the rink the whole game. Scott was in heaven! :) Here's Shayla enjoying her dinner... The girls and I trying to understand what was going on...

Scott and his little cheerleaders...
My buddy and I...(her mouth is full of brownies!) LOL

I am thankful for Scott's employment with his company. I get frustrated a lot because they are very demanding. He works 60+ hours a week so we don't see him as much as we'd like. BUT, they sure do a lot of nice things for us families. And in this economy....you won't hear me complaining!
