Our fun weekend

We had a trip planned for the holiday weekend to Mesquite, but at the last minute cancelled it due to various reasons. Instead, Scott took work off on Friday and we went out to lunch and then headed to the mall to do some back-to-school shopping for the girls. Kaleigh picked out all her supplies at Sanrio (Hello Kitty stuff) and we got pretzels and shoes and then played at the play center. It was a lot of fun! On Saturday we took the girls to Seven Peaks for some fun in the sun all day. It was a blast having alone time with Kaleigh and Shayla and going down all the slides on inner tubes. They had an awesome time and so did we! Although some rides scared them, they wanted to do them over and over. It was sweet! Thank you Sarah, Dad and Mom for watching Peyton, who I might add, was an angel for them. We are so grateful!!!

Splash Park

The other day while Mom, Dad and Sarah were at Danny's, I took the girls to the splash park. I thought it sounded relaxing to sit on a blanket, listen to my IPOD and read a magazine. Although I spent the whole time chasing Peyton, answering the girls' 1000 questions and begging them for MY ipod back, we still had fun! Not relaxing AT ALL, but fun. The girls listening to One Republic

Peyton does not like to put her legs on grass, so she crawled like this the whole time. It was so funny!

Whee!!!
Me and my little buddy...

Last Wednesday night...

Last Wednesday night was Kaleigh's assessment for first grade at the charter school. She did great and it was exciting to see the new school!

The biggest surprise came when she was asked to write her name on the line and she did it in cursive. We had no idea she even knew how to do that! Surely she didn't learn it in Kindergarten. When I asked her where she learned it she told me she taught herself. Smart cookie! I was so impressed and HAD to take a picture of it. Not bad for a 6 year old who taught herself, right?!
Her new school. It's beautiful inside and out!
That night when we got home, we had some surprise visitors a 9 pm. MY DAD, MY MOM AND SARAH!!!! We had absolutely no idea they were coming! I was beyond shocked. In a good way, of coarse. It was so exciting for many reasons but extra special since my dad just got out of the hospital from his bone marrow transplant. What a nice surprise! Kaleigh and Shayla's room is under construction so they are sleeping on mattresses on the play room floor with Auntie Sarah. They love it!
Peyton is SUCH a Grandpas girl! She loves him to pieces and I think it's safe to say the feeling is mutual!Grandma is so wonderful to the girls and shows them with words and actions! She is constantly kissing, hugging and talking to them. They love her to death!

They have been here for a week now and we have been having so much fun! There have been a lot, perhaps too many, late nights and laughter. I don't think we have got to bed before 2am once! (Except the girls, of coarse) We are so glad they are here!

Busy day...

Today I took the girls and their BFF, Alexa, to Kid Barn to do some jumping. We ate some yummy Weinerschnitzel (they wanted corn dogs) and we had a lot of fun. Those three are like the 3 Musketeers. They are too cute together! Peyton did what she does best...hangin' out with mommy. As soon as we left there we headed home to get ready for the "Summer Olympics on Olympiad Lane". That's the name of our street in case you didn't catch it. Myself along with a few other friends on the block decided this would be fun for the kids since we all have the Olympic fever. I hosted one of the events in my front yard. I decided to do discus. I used tortillas so no one would get killed. It went awesome! I painted the driveway with the Olympic rings just to be extra corny and it was a hit. We had a great turn out. There were about 60 kids, not including parents. They all rotated between 5 homes. At the end we played the National Anthem and gave "gold medals" to all the kids. They had strawberry lemonade, sugar cookies and Popsicle's. It was adorable and the kids all had a blast! Peyton was such a sweetie! She just sat happily in her stroller and watched me wrangle tons of kids. That is not normal for her so I was VERY thankful! It all went wonderfully so we decided to make it an annual thing. Yeah!

This "chick" should have won the gold!!!

My friend Brent emailed this to me and I think it is one of the funniest thing's I've ever seen! I loved it! The dismount is the best part. Enjoy....

Presenting....our Princesses

Well, our girls have their own blog now. Check them out at biehngirls.blogspot.com. Too fun I tell you! Enjoy....

Farmer's Market and our date!

After La Caille Suzie spent the night and on Saturday morning we went downtown to Farmer's Market. It's a tradition that we do every year. We got beautiful fresh flowers and lots of yummy veggies. We had a BLAST people watching cause there are plenty of funky people there. There was a live band that was actually really good and a woman that was tacky enough to give us all sweet entertainment. Ha ha ha! This poor lady, bless her heart, was in her own cracked-out world! She thought she was hot stuff and we could not stop laughing. Enjoy the video of her!

That night Scott and I went on a date! We are now doing a babysitting swap thing with some friends and it was our turn to go out. I was SOOOO nervous about leaving Peyton because I never have. She did awesome! They said she never cried once. I was shocked! We had a great time on our mini date (we were gone less than 3 hours) and it was refreshing to know that I can actually leave Peytie now if I need to. Whew! We will have their kids on Friday night so wish us luck. (They are 4, 2 and 3 months) :)

Friday night at La Caille

Friday night we went to this place by us called "La Caille". It is a french estate/garden/restaurant that is seriously like Heaven on earth. We have been there many times, but this time we took Suzie, who has NEVER been there. It was priceless to see the look on her face as she looked around. There are peacocks, bunnies, roosters and pheasants walking all around. Anyone who knows me knows I have a deep love for willow trees and they are all over the gardens. La Caille is nestled right in the canyon so the river runs through it. There are vineyards and cottages all over that you can rent for mega bucks. The cheapest dish at the restaurant is a chicken breast for $50 and that comes with no sides. Yikes! The best part of the garden is an old fashion french romance style swing in a weeping willow tree. It is awesome! It's on a hill so you swing about 15 feet above the ground once you take off. We were laughing hysterically! The last swing picture is of me and you can see how high up you go.We all had the best time!!! (Hence the reason for so many pics...)
