January 2nd was a very emotional day. I knew that my family was leaving early the next morning, which saddened me, and my dear brother, Mike, was also flying back to Missouri to finish basic training for the Army. It's unclear when we'll get to see him again. We started off by having a great lunch with Danny, Megan and Axton at The Cracker Barrel. (Excellent food, by the way!) It was a lot of fun to see them! Then we headed to the airport to pick up Mikey. He was on a layover here between LA and SLC. We hung out for a little bit, had some fun and laughter, and then said our goodbyes. It was really hard for me. I'm crying right now just thinking about it! We will miss him.
My baby brothers Danny and Mike with Scotty.
Me and my siblings. We were only missing 1, my older sister Lisa who lives in Cali.
Tell us how you really feel, boys.... LOL
I am super proud of Mike. He joined the Army in September, a HUGE decision! I know it was hard for him to leave family. Especially his adorable son, Corey who is only 2. I know that he made the right decision. He is already such a better man for doing it. You can see a dramatic change in him, for the better. I am grateful for all the time we were able to spend with him over Christmas break. Hopefully it won't be too long before we see him again. Please remember him in your prayers!
