Paradise

Every year Scott's new company holds a Conference/training in January. Because Scott just hired on with them 3 weeks ago, we didn't know what to expect. OH MY GOSH!!! Since they are one of the biggest and most successful in the industry, no expense is spared. We are GRATEFUL for that! LOL. This year they held it in Huntington Beach, CA at the Hyatt Resort. Holy cow, talk about heaven! They paid for Scott and I to fly there on Wednesday. The conference started Thursday.
Scott, still working, as soon as we got to the hotel. I love that he's so driven!
The bed was the most comfortable thing I've ever layed on!

The courtyard right outside our balcony
It was GORGEOUS! There was even a waterfall and coy pond

There was a sitting area with a fireplace
That night we were able to meet up with my Dad, Mom, sister and Grandma at Claim Jumper.
Thursday started off early with us both attending meetings. It was great to feel part of the "Kiewit family" and get a chance to see exactly what Scott does on a daily basis. After hours of meetings I got a few hours to myself while Scott continued on. I read Twilight on our balcony.....
Layed out by the gorgeous pool while listening to my IPOD......

And searched for sea shells for the girls while walking the beach. H-E-A-V-E-N!!!!!

The pool and hot tub were incredible. The Hyatt Resort was the most luxurious place I've ever seen. We loved every second! After a long day of meetings and meals (which the company had breakfast, lunch and dinner catered every day!) we hit the hot tub!
Later that night we met up with Scott's Dad and Mom for dessert at Claim Jumper
Friday morning Scott was off to training at 6am. His company transported all the spouses to The Anaheim 300 bowling alley for some fun and spoiling. They put us into groups of 6 and it was a blast! My group was awesome. I can't even begin to describe that place. It was incredible! Tons of yummy food too!Every year they give the spouses a gift. This year...I scored a $200 Tommy Bahama watch. I LOVE it! It's so nice. (Especially since I'd never spend that on myself) Thanks Kiewit!!! :)

Friday night they threw a huge Luau. They gave us all matching Hawaiian tee's and real Lei's. They were beautiful! They had yummy food, fire dancers, hula dancers, pictures, dancing and tons more. We had a blast but left after a couple hours. It was open bar and we don't drink. Enough said. We hung out on the beach instead and then hit the hot tub.
The conference ended Friday night, but since the company did so well last year they paid for us to stay an extra day. Yah!!! So...we went to Disneyland on Saturday. It was way too much fun. Here we are, in the back, goofing off on Space Mountain. :)
We had lunch at the Orleans Cafe. Their Monte Cristo rocks!!!
We felt like Newly Weds all over again. It was amazing!
I love my hubby! He really is the best!
That night when we got back we decided to order room service cause we were hungry. I guess this is what happens when you order Nachos from The Hyatt. They were the biggest dang plate of nachos we've ever seen. We were dying laughing. They were also the best we've ever had too!!! YummY!
Sunday morning we left for the airport. We walked around and said our goodbyes to the heavenly Hyatt.
And the Beach

It really was the best trip ever. We felt like it was our 2nd Honeymoon. We were on cloud nine just being alone and enjoying each other. Sweet Suzie watched the kiddies for us. We are forever grateful! We missed them more than words can describe but knew they were well taken care of. We didn't worry. Thank you thank you thank you Suz!!! You are THE BEST! Thank you for allowing us to have some alone time. It was wonderful! We were so excited to get back and kiss the girls' faces off. We had NEVER left them until this trip. We will miss paradise and cannot wait until next January. Kiewit rocks!!! LOL

I love your new short hair with the bangs, way cute!! So lucky to have had such a great weekend with Scott. These days I only get to see my husband 1/2 the month! The best part about your trip was that it was free!! I need to remember that when Jeff goes job hunting, find the job with the most perks:)
