So Peyton woke up at 12am Friday morning, screaming crying. She sounded horrible and was really struggling to breathe. She was up ALL night long. Crying. It was miserable. After I dragged myself to take Kaleigh to school I called our doctor and set up an appointment around noon. That entire morning Peyton was soooo fussy and her lips were turning blue. I knew something wasn't right. I took her in and our doctor confirmed she had RSV and sent us to the emergency room at Primary Children's. I was so scared! My poor baby. I checked Kaleigh out of school and then picked up Scott and dropped the girls off with Julianne, who was so sweet to lighten our burden. I didn't even need to ask. We took Peyton to the ER, where we then stayed all day and night. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. She was really struggling to breathe and fevering, all while being poked at and tortured constantly. She was screaming crying almost the entire time. Luckily Scott had his work camera so I could capture the hell. :) We couldn't bear to put her down!
Think she had a fever? Yep, 102.
Our little fighter, trying to be happy. She had just had a chest x-ray.
The nurse gave her this adorable leopard kitty and matching blanket, just for being so "cute".
They made us give her a 1-hour breathing treatment that was almost impossible. She was crying so hard and fighting that I had to leave the room. I bawled my eyes out! She finally gave in after 40 minutes so we snapped a pic.
The experience was one we hope to forget. She was sent home and has to be on Decadron, Albuteral treatments every couple hours, and Tylenol and Motrin round the clock. It sucks. She had been doing WAY better earlier, but now not so good tonight. We're thankful to everyone for their prayers and concern. Thankful to Suzie, too, who took the girls out to dinner and spent the night with them. Today, while Peyton was napping, we were able to have some quality time with them playing outside and they enjoyed a "tea party" (aka, hot chocolate)downstairs while we watched the Secret Garden together.
We were also so grateful to Danny and Megan who surprised us by bringing us chicken noodle soup, broccoli cheese soup, and a dozen cinnamon and white rolls from our favorite bakery. That was sooo sweet!
We are confident that Peyton will be fine and get over this soon. It could be A LOT worse!!!!

From Tessa and Natalie: Hey cousin! We hope you feel better real soon!
From Jeremy and Jocely: That really sucks. There is nothing worse than seeing your child in pain. I hope she turns a corner soon so that you can breathe a sigh of relief. Wish we were there to lend a hand but we'll just continue to keep you guys in our prayers.
We love you Peyton!
