A couple years ago Scott's brother, Jeff, called us to tell us about a really funny comedian that he thought we'd like. He said that this guy reminded him a lot of Scott. His name was Brian Regan. Well, we checked him out and we have been hooked ever since. Thanks Jeff! We own all of Brian's Cd's and DVDs. And yes, he reminds me of Scott also. Probably why I love him so! Well, for Christmas Suzie bought us tickets to his upcoming show in SLC in March. Last night was the night! We were sooooo excited. Scott planned a beautiful evening for us. Here we are on our way out...
Scott decided to take me to The Melting Pot since we've always wanted to try it. He even got me (my favorite) a Strawberry Daiquiri. Deelish!

We had a beautiful corner booth overlooking Downtown. The ambiance was perfect. We opted for the "Fiesta Fondue". The cheese itself was good but we were disappointed in the dipping foods. Cauliflower? Tiny carrots? CELERY? What??? Where the heck was the broccoli? The breads they gave us were kinda dried out too. And the cheese was gone way before the dippers were. No
bueno!

Here's
Scotty enjoying some cheesy goodness.

And me.

We decided to split a small house salad and opt out of getting an entree because by this time we figured out that this just wasn't "our thing" and we wanted to go. It is
waaay too overpriced. We decided to get the Yin and Yang chocolate fondue. It was very good, but they only gave us a few fruits to dip and then gave us a bunch of desserts to dip. Desserts in chocolate? Oh no! The thought of dipping cheesecake, brownies, rice
krispie treats and pound cake in chocolate made me sick. Too fattening. I would have LOVED more fruits, but they said no. Boo! All in all, the experience was good, but not worth it to us. We weren't full and believe you SHOULD be after paying $60. Darn it!

Then it was off to
Abravanal Hall to see Brian Regan. Yippee! Here's me and my wonderful hubby in our seats. :)

And here's Brian! As expected, he was SO hilarious! We enjoyed every single minute of it. We both decided that it felt SO good to just sit back and laugh our butts off. It was a perfect gift!
A big THANK YOU to Suzie for getting us these tickets. They were perfect. Also, thanks to Suzie and Julianne for watching the girls for us so we could go. It was a real good night!

Too bad about the Melting Pot...good to know! Glad you and Scott had such a nice nights. Dates like that are priceless.
I'm so sorry about the Melting Pot. It's fun for an everyfewyears sort of thing, but you're right - WAY OVERPRICED. Maybe we can try a double date at Bennihanna next? I've never been there. :)
Glad you guys got to go out on a nice date together. Suzie is a thoughtful gal; love her!
He is so funny! We went last summer(or maybe it was 2 summers ago?) when he was at thanksgiving point garden. SOOOO funny! Glad to see the review on the Melting Pot-I always wanted to go, but could never bring my husband to try it. Now I think we will just skip it! :) What a fun night!
Oh man... I'm so glad you guys had fun! And I'm so glad I got to go see him a couple of days later..It was SO FUNNY!!!! :) Love you both!
