This past Memorial Day was a beautiful one. Scott and I are very patriotic people and felt the need to really teach the girls about the sacrifices that are made by the men and women of the armed forces. We are so thankful for the lives that have been lost defending our country and freedoms. We are so thankful for those that are willing to serve. They are brave and wonderful. All 4 of our Grandpas served in WW2 and Scott's Dad served during the Vietnam War. We are truly grateful to them!
Memorial Day morning we headed to the cemetery for a service honoring the fallen. They read poetry, sang, read names of local fallen soldiers and did the gun salute. It was beautiful and tearful.
