Happy New Year! (January Happenings)

I LOVE the New Year! It's such a great time to sit back and ponder the previous year and appreciate all we have in our lives. It's also great because we have the opportunity to make resolutions and improve ourselves. I have a list a mile long of thing's I want to improve on. I am doing GREAT at some, and can do a lot better at others. One of my goals has been fixing my "blog bum" habits. So far, I'm rockin' it! Yeah!!! Let's hope I can stay on track. I have mended a broken relationship in my life and that has been amazing! It's incredible how much stress comes with unresolved problems. I am so happy I've taken the necessary steps to improve this relationship. It's great! January was very busy. Dad, Mom and Nan moved here and we kept pretty darn busy helping them and getting them settled. In between, we were able to squeeze in some fun. Here are the highlights from January. On New Year's Day, we had Dad, Mom, Nana, Sarah, Kyle and Suzie over for some delicious food and TONS of hysterical laughing. Here we are grubbing. :) Silly Peyton!

My midget hubby. :)
We discovered this race where you can only use the strength of your arms. It was hilarious seeing everyone race around with dead legs. We all looked like creepy fish! Scott and I were busting up!
I love this shot of Sarah and Suzie!
Funny girls!
Go Kyle and Sarah!
Scott is such a good Dad! The girls are so lucky to have him.
That night Suzie and I went to a Jazz game and we had a blast, as usual!
The next day (the 2nd) was Suzie's 30th birthday! I surprised her and took her out to lunch. After lunch I was planning on taking her to go rock climbing, but that didn't work out. Needless to say, when we got there we saw how high the walls were and chickened out! Ha! We headed to Boondocks instead and played laser tag, did the roller coaster simulator and played arcade games. It didn't go as I planned, but we always have a blast together anyways. I love that girl!

We discovered that Shayla has an eye defect and needed glasses. She got them and looks so cute in them!
We also got a new leather couch and we LOVE it!!!
It has been so wonderful having Dad, Mom and Nan live here. We have missed that closeness the past 4 and a half years and are so thankful to have it back. They literally live down the street form us. We can see their backyard from our back door. We have spent tons of time with them and we wouldn't trade it for the world! We were able to have our first family dinner in their house and it was SO nice to be able to do that again. Family is a wonderful gift!

For my birthday Suzie gave me a gift certificate telling me that on the 17th she'd be taking me to lunch and a spa. Sweet!!! We ate at Cafe Rio, of coarse. :)
Then we went to The Avenues Day Spa where she paid for me to have a full body 1 hour massage. IT WAS HEAVEN!! Oh my gosh. Here I am on the table ready to be taken to heaven. Suzie couldn't get her body scrub cause she broke out in hives that morning. Sad! She got her make up professionally done instead, and because all my pictures weren't recovered, I have none of her. :( It was an amazing day. Thanks SO much Suz!!!!!!!!!
My cousin, Kiersten, lives in Brigham City and we took the opportunity to get together for lunch. Her daughters, Akira and Sydney are DOLLS and my girls adore them! Every time they see each other it's like no time has passed at all. They just pick up where they left off. I sure wish we lived closer to each other! We went to The Pie for lunch. From left, here's Akira, Kaleigh, Sydney and Shayla. Cuties!
Nana and Kiesten. ♥
Mom and Dad. ♥
Kyle and Sarah. ♥
And Peyton, Scott and I. ♥
Afterwards we went back to Mom and Dad's and visited for a while. I sure love Kiersten! She is a beautiful person. Here's me, Kiersten and Sarah. ♥
And our beautiful girls!

I can't wait to see them again! Happy New Year's everyone!
