Ok, part 2, here we go...
On June 8th the girls had their school dance festival. They both did a great job and the weather was absolutely perfect! Here they are with Shayl'a's good friend Kami. :)
On June 9th Shayla had her last day of Kindergarten. Hooray! She got an extra special treat because Grandpa and Grandma Biehn arrived that very day. I have to say...I am so thankful that Norm and Lynne are compassionate and understanding. They were scheduled to come the day after my surgery but when they heard how much pain I was in they decided to postpone their trip at the very last minute so I could rest and not worry about having guests. I felt SO bad, but was, and am, so grateful because it was a rough recovery and I did need that down time. They rock!

Here's Peyton taking Grandma on a walk. :)
We were able to have an adult night one night and went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was delicious and we all ate way too much food!

Afterwards we headed downtown for some shopping and we walked around Temple Square. It was so nice to be there with them!

Story time! ♥

Kaleigh and Grandpa :) We are so thankful that they take the time to come see us. We love having them here and are always sad to see them go. We love you Dad and Mom Biehn!

On June 13th, after 11 months in awful braces, I said a very happy goodbye!

I got my braces off and I couldn't be happier! It sucked big time having them at my age, but it the scheme of things it really wasn't that long and it was so worth it!

On June 14th we had our good friends Jeff and Julianne and Suzie over for dinner. Jeff made us his famous white chicken chili. It was INSANE!

I love great friends!

On June 16th I had Scott come home from work early and I surprised him with a night and day getaway for our anniversary. We stayed the night at Anniversary Inn in the Phantom of the Opera Suite. It. Was. Amazing.

The whole room was gorgeous, but the jacuzzi tub and shower stole the show! It was enclosed in a cave and had two waterfalls in it. IT WAS HEAVEN!!!

After checking in and hanging out for a while we headed downtown to do some shopping and eating. We ate dinner at The Lion House. It was really good!

Then we walked around Temple Square, did some shopping and then drove around The Avenues looking at mansions. :) It was so kicked back.

The next morning, the 17th, was our 11 year Anniversary! They brought us a delicious breakfast and we had the most wonderful time. We paid extra to check out late...money well spent! This place is our new favorite place! It's our heaven on earth.

After checking out we headed to Taco Bell to have a taco eating competition. (like when we were dating) We couldn't even come close to eating the 12 tacos so we found a homeless man and gave them to him. He was very gracious.

After lunch we headed to a movie and then ended the night with dinner at Ruth's Steakhouse. One word to describe that? EXPENSIVE. Too expensive, in fact. It was delicious, but not worth the $175 it cost us. Yikes! Here's Scott with his steak.

For dessert they brought us a personalized banana cream pie. Yummy!

It was the best Anniversary we have ever have! It even beat out our Honeymoon. :) Thank you so much to our friends Jeff and Julianne and Sarah and Kyle for watching the girls so we could have some romantic alone time. We love you guys!!!

When we got home the girls presented us with a gift they made us for our special day. How cute!

The girls got some fake nails from the dollar store and they enjoy getting pedicures from me. They always end up taking them off after like 20 minutes. :)

It freaks me out to see their little hands adorned with long nails!

Peyton discovered that she loves giving feet massages. Lol! Daddy enjoys getting them too! :)

On June 18th Jeff and Julianne had us over to their farm to ride the horses. Thanks guys! It was SO much fun and we loved every minute of it!

I LOVE that picture of the girls above! It's precious. Here's little cowgirl Peyton. :)

We love stealing a moment and taking a drive up the canyon right by our house. We see deer without fail each time. Nature is breathtaking!

:)

You can't have summer nights without sleeping on the trampoline!

Roasting hot dogs is a must too! Kaleigh has become a pro at it.

My hunky hubby!

On June 19th it was Father's Day! Mom changed plans on us last minute so it left my plans for Scott unrealistic. I felt bad and wanted to attempt to make it special for him so at last minute we headed to brunch at The Cheesecake Factory. He is the best Daddy in the whole wide world and we love and appreciate him SO much!!!

He got the famous Monte Cristo.

I ♥♥♥ my little family! There's nothing better in the world!

A tad bit later that day we headed over to Dad and Mom's for Father's Day dinner. Mom brought Dad home from the rehab center for the first time so we could all spend the day together. Luckily everyone was able to be there and it was great! I love this picture of Axton and Peyton!

Happy Father's Day Scotty! We had chicken tacos, rice and beans. Yum!

The Griffin family minus Lisa and Mikey. ♥

Grandpa with almost all his grandkids. ♥

My hero! I love my Superman!!!

Sarah, Danny, the Jesus doll and I. (inside joke) ;)

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE living where I do? Well, I do. It is absolutely beautiful here all year around. The skies are INSANE!!!

On the 24th it was Shayla's turn for a date. We actually should have taken her the month before but never had time. She chose Kneaders for dinner cause she loves their cream of broccoli soup. She's such a doll!

Then she chose swimming at the rec center. It was SO fun! She loves seeing me jump off the high dive and I can't resist seeing her excitement. :)

Our water baby!

After swimming we got mango smoothies. It was a perfect night!

I love summer because I LOVE being outdoors. The girls love playing in the sprinklers and enjoying their slip n slide. Here's cute Shay..

What sweet sisters!

Summer rocks!

We also eat most of our meals outside during summer, which we love!

Taco night...

..outdoors is the best!

This is the saddest picture ever. On June 28th Nana's beloved bird, Angel, died. She was devastated.

Nana asked me to come over and bury him. The girls were so sad. Mom made him a cute little casket. I felt so bad for Grandma! :(

That night was Peyton's turn for her date. She wanted new sandals so we went shopping for some. :)

Then we went to Planet Play for dinner and fun. How cute is this picture?!

Daddy and Peyton ♥

It was such a fun night. Peyton is so dang cute and we love spending time with her!

The great outdoors...

On the 3oth of the month we had a big addition to our family! His name is Dexter and he is a 1 year old miniature Dachshund! He is fully house and kennel trained and couldn't be more perfect for our family! We love and adore him sooo much.

The girls had been asking for a dog for years but we were insistant that we wouldn't get one. We didn't like the idea of "poop in the yard" and hair in the house, not to mention other small details. Then one day it dawned on us how selfish we were being. We were choosing to be selfish rather than allowing our kids the happiness of having a dog. We both grew up in families with dogs and loved it! So...we gave in and I can't tell you how HAPPY we are with the decision! Dexter has been perfect and the happiness he has brought into our home is indescribable. We can't believe we waited this long. The girls LOOOOOVE him!!!

He is my baby boy! I honestly feel like he completes our family. Now that we have him, life feels 100% perfect! Here he is after his first bath with us. :) Welcome to the Biehn family Dexter!!! ♥
