Goats! (playing catch-up)

A good friend of mine raises goats so she wanted me to bring the girls over when they had their babies. They looooved them! The goats wanted to eat Peyton so she was a little scared.

I have never held a baby goat. I was in love. They were precious!Peyton loved the babies.
But the big goats loved her more! LOL
Shay loved them too.
She wanted to keep this one.
Kaleigh was in love also.
She begged Scott and I to buy some. We explained that we're Californians. We don't raise farm animals. :)

It was an awesome experience!

Random Pics (catching up)

Here are a few pics that I love. Shayla and Peyton spend a lot of time together because neither are in school yet. They have so much fun and are so cute together! Here are the girls with their friends from next door. I thought it was cute that they all were dressed up like various characters. :)

Peyton, our little hoarder, figured out that if she stuffs toys down her shirt she can carry more. Silly girl!
Kaleigh and Peyton rocking on the rocking chair. Kaleigh sang to her the whole time. Sweet!
Shayla LOVES sidewalk chalk and frequently draws "beds" to lay on. :)
We finally finished our fire pit and it looks beautiful!
Now all's we have to do is stain the logs. GREAT job Scott! aka, my stud monkey! ;)

Orientation (playing catch-up)

On April 16th Shayla had her Kindergarten orientation. She was SO excited and had been waiting for this day for a long time. As most of you know, the cut-off date in Utah is September 2nd so she missed the deadline by 23 days. She has been very anxious and more than ready to start school. Here she is with her packet. She's such a doll!

That night we decided to do something special for her so we let her plan the night. She picked Winger's for dinner (of coarse) and couldn't wait to get her hands on some Asphalt Pie for dessert.
Peyton was happy with her choice. :)
Then we went to Boondocks for some fun.

It was a great night and we are excited for Shayla to start school. She got her track schedule and teacher. We are doing A track this year and her teacher is Lisa Jackson. We have heard AMAZING things about this woman so we're VERY happy! Hooray for Shay!!!

Kaleigh's Baptism (playing catch-up)

Kaleigh made the decision to be baptized and become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her special date took place on April 10, 2010. We took her to buy a whole new outfit for her special occasion. She made a great choice and looked gorgeous! She couldn't have been more excited to get baptized. Our growing family....

Our beautiful girls...
We were so thankful that Grandpa and Grandma Biehn made the trip up for her.
Aunt Suzie was there and was a huge help to me that day. (thanks Suz!!!)
I was such a proud Mama that day. It was a very emotional experience. This dress Kaleigh wore to be baptized in was the very same dress I was baptized in 21 years ago. My mom made it.
Scott was also on cloud 9. I felt very grateful that he had made the decision to remain a worthy priesthood holder so he could perform this sacred ordinance for our daughter. I LOVE this picture!
We were so thankful that Grandpa and Grandma Griffin could be there for Kaleigh.
And sweet Nana.
Aunt Nancy came too. Here's us and our firstborn. Man how time flies... (tear)
So happy Aunt Sarah could be there also.
Thank you to Sarah for doing Kay's hair. It was beautiful!
We had a yummy luncheon at our house afterwards. Here's some pics from it...

Kaleigh also got some awesome gifts including her very own scriptures from Nana.
The girls were asked to sing "Families Can Be Together Forever" in Sacrament the following day so they practiced for everyone. They sounded beautiful!

It was a perfect day! We love our sweet little Kaleigh and are so grateful for the beautiful spirit that she is. We look forward to watching her grow and learn!

A visit from the Griffins (playing catch-up)

We were lucky. Not only were we able to have Dad and Mom Biehn come up for Kaleigh's baptism, but Dad and Mom Griffin, Sarah and Nana were able to come as well. Sarah happened to have her Utah bridal shower the same weekend so I was able to see my family a little bit as well. Congrats to these two! :) Us girls went to dinner at Cafe Rio before the shower. Good food and great company!

Shay loves Nana!
My Dad is amazing. He was in so much pain, yet he kept smiling. I love him!
Peyton had a blast with Dad's new swing. I mean walker.
Even though we didn't get to see them much (they were staying at a hotel in Orem), we were thankful to see them at all. We love them!

A visit from Dad&Mom Biehn (playing catch-up)

On April 8th Dad and Mom Biehn came up for a quick visit. They came for Kaleigh's baptism. It had been over a year since they were able to come so we were all very excited to have them back. While here we took them down to Orem to The Hot Dog King and indulged ourselves in some creative hot dog heaven. Mmm! And what would a meal be without Dad spilling condiments on himself?! Hahaha! (inside joke)

We also headed on over to the BYU Creamery on 9th for some delicious ice-cream. Yum!
Loved it!
Peyton is fascinated with our digital thermometer and loves taking temperatures. :)
Funny girl!

We loved having them here and as usual the time passed far too quickly. They are great and we love them to pieces! (more pictures to come in another post)
