Toprepare the Kindergartner's for 1st Grade in a couple months, today they got to eat lunch at school in the cafeteria and we were invited to join them. It was so cute watching Kaleigh interact with her friends. Shayla was also so excited to be part of it. And, as you can see, Peyton was pretty stoked too! I, as a mommy, loved every second of it but the best part came after lunch. When we were leaving to go home I was standing in the hall talking to the mom of a little boy who is in love with Kaleigh. She was gushing about how her son, McKay, comes home everyday from school describing exactly what Kaleigh wore and how her hair was done. He is IN LOVE with her (which I already knew because he sends her home with love letters pouring his little heart out) and he quote, "wants to marry her." His mom then told him to tell me what he wants to be when he grows up and he replied, "a cancer doctor." She told me how random she and her husband thought that was because no family members or friends of theirs have cancer. She was saying she doesn't know where he came up with that when he stepped around her and said, "It's because a long time ago Kaleigh told me her grandpa has cancer, so I want to marry her and be a cancer doctor so I can make her Grandpa all better!". OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How sweet is that?! My eyes welled up with tears right away and needless to say, I am going to make sure Kaleigh marries that boy!!!
And in true Kaleigh and Shayla spirit, they came right home and put dress up clothes on. I swear, why do I even get them dressed in the morning? :)

ok i have to say, i just LOVE reading your blog! your family is the cutest!! And by the way, i feel the need to STEAL your playlist! Every song you have on there, has at one time or another, been my fav song of the moment! haha Including the Alison Krauss song, which was my wedding/first dance song! haha
wait wait wait.... you want MY hooters? I can't think of any reason why you'd want MINE unless you're seeking little minis! They've lost all of their spunk since having a kid. But I knew that would happen. haha. You're the one with the great ones! That's why we had to guess your size at Peyton's shower! hahaha I'm so confused...
i echo my sister. when you brought dinner to us after eli was born, brent said, "its a good thing you didn't marry scott (he was well aware of my lifetime crush) michelle is WAY too perfect. i believe he was referencing the beautiful Cornish game hens you made for us, but in my mind, it was the boobs, yours: perky. mine blech. so glad you guys have a blog and we can see what's going on. we really do miss you guys. whenever we walk by your old place in the neighborhood, we think about you.
