Father's Day!

There's only 40 minutes left until it's officially Father's Day. As I sit here and think about the special date I can't help but feel much gratitude. Here's the 1st reason why....
My girls are SO lucky to have Scott as their Daddy! He is seriously the best. He's incredibly loving, patient, fun and tender with them. He works so hard to give them the best life possible. No matter how busy he gets with life, he always finds a way to make time for them. I am always amazed that after a long hard day of working 12 hours he never sits down to relax. He never sits down and watches TV. Instead, he plays with his girls, and never complains. He's amazing and I couldn't have picked a better Daddy for our girls!!! I love him to pieces!

The 2nd reason I feel so much gratitude is this....
I, myself, have an amazing Dad! I can honestly say that my Dad is Superman! He, too, worked super hard for our family and never complained. He was always working a bunch, serving his callings with all his might and also stayed active running, doing marathons, playing baseball and especially basketball. I remember being a teenager and wondering if my Dad had a pack of Energizer batteries in his back because he never stopped. He always set such a great example and didn't just teach us how to be good Christlike people, he showed us. Now that Dad has been battling cancer the past few years my admiration for him has grown 10-fold. We have had the pleasure of having he and Mom in our home the past week and I have been brought to tears MANY times over his strength. He is suffering SO much, yet still finds a way to be optimistic and smile. It's incredible! I love Dad with all of my heart and am so blessed to have him as mine! He's my hero.

Our Trip To Cali, part 2

May 22nd was here! THE DAY OF THE WEDDING. It was a very exciting morning. Much different than the same exact day last year, which was my brothers funeral. Sarah was glowing and looked absolutely beautiful! I snuck a quick pic with the bride before the day got crazy. Sweet Suzie came over to my parents and did my hair. What a lifesaver! She also re-curled the girls hair for me after it had already fallen out of the curling I did earlier. LOVE that girl!!!

Peyton's buddy(aka, Nana) came over and Peyton stayed glued to her.
Then we headed to L.A.
Exciting times!
We got there too early, so we decided to go to Rodeo Drive. (my favorite!)
Sarah and Kyle were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple by Kyle's grandpa. He did an AMAZING job and really brought the spirit into the ceremony. I think I cried non stop. :) Here's the GAILEY'S!!!!!!! (Sarah was STUNNING!!!)
Here we are, family and friends...
The Griffin kids and Kyle. Welcome to the family Kyle!!!
We had a little downtime and then we all headed to BJ's for the luncheon. Kyle's parents planned it perfectly and the food was BOMB! (thanks Kent and Kathy!)
*My new all-time favorite shot of my Mama!*Dad tucked a napkin in and looked just like a preacher! I was so amazed by Dad's strength that day. He was in so much pain but kept smiling and pushing. What a guy!
Here's the little buddies, Shayla and Maddie. (who are only 3 weeks apart) Cousins rule!
Then it was off to the reception. Mom and Sarah did a beautiful job of planning it all out. Sarah Lemmon's company decorated and did a great job. Is there anything sweeter than a father dancing with his little girl? I think not.
*The Griffin Clan*, minus Mikey. I sure miss him terribly!
Our family, minus Danny's Megan and boys. (and Mikey, of coarse)
My older sister Lisa and I.

My good friend Emily and I. We were the ones who put Sarah and Kyle in touch with each other. Kudos to us! :)
Suzie and Peytie.
These are Kyle's nieces with Kaleigh. They had a great time dancing.
Here's Dad and Sarah dancing. It was a very emotional moment! The day was perfect and couldn't have gone any better!
The next day we Biehn's got together at Norm and Kris' house to celebrate Scott's upcoming birthday. The kids all had a blast together and so did the adults!
Here's Scott with two of his brothers.
I love this picture! Here's Peyton with Natalie, Tessa and Bradin. Again, cousins rule!
Here's the three amigos, as i call them. Kaleigh and Shayla with their cousin, Shelly. (she's SUCH a sweetie!)
My birthday boy!!! :)
It wouldn't be a Biehn family get together without some kind of eating competition. One of the reasons why I love them! First us girls shoved huge RICH cupcakes down the guys'mouths to see who could finish it first. Jeremy won, of coarse!
And then us girls got served. I'm not even sure who won cause I was busy gagging and spitting it into the sink. Ewww! It was a lot of fun!
The next morning we headed to breakfast at Ruby's on the Huntington Pier with Dad, Mom, Kyle and Sarah. The food was a little disappointing this time, but the company was great!
The girls with Grandpa and Grandma Griffin.
After breakfast we broke away and headed to our favorite...Laguna Beach! The weather was peeeerfect! Here's Scott burying Kaleigh. :)
The girls had a BLAST!!!! The waves were gorgeous.
Me and my girls. (i know my butt looks weird. we were WALKING people!) lol
Scott and the girls in a really cool cave.
Our little mermaids!
My family+ the beach= HEAVEN!
My parents bought the girls some cute kites and the wind was perfect for flying them. See that mansion on the cliff? We're gonna buy it one day! :)
The next day we headed to Las Vegas. We stayed at The Luxor and had a great time swimming. There must be a sign posted that I didn't see. It must have read "If you shouldn't wear a bikini in public, we welcome you!" because we saw A LOT of this....
Their pool was very pretty. I didn't want to leave.
After swimming we got cleaned up and headed to TGIFridays for dinner. That's a tradition for us in Vegas and the girls remembered.
The room we got was AWESOME! It was on the outside of the pyramid and had a gorgeous view of Mandalay Bay and the airport. The best part though? Oh yay...it had a freaking jacuzzi right by the window! The girls LOVED watching the airplanes take off.
They were SO excited to jump in the hot tub and loved every minute of it. It was sooo cute!

Scott and I got dessert after the girls went to bed and enjoyed the jacuzzi also!
Our sleeping beauties!
The next morning Scott bought us these necklaces as souveniers. We love them!
And then we headed back to UT!

We had an awesome vacation and loved being with family! It's always sad to see it end.
