July was busy and here are the highlights:
I had Kaleigh and Shayla on different tracks last year so Shayla's last day of school was on June 9th and Kaleigh's last day of school was on July 1st. Hooray for that ending cause it was crazy dealing with 2 tracks. We took the girls out to dinner that night to celebrate their good grades and accomplishments.
As mentioned before, we added Dexter to our family on June 30th. He brings us so much joy and laughter and we ADORE him! I never thought my kids were missing out, not having a dog, until we bought him. Now I see the light! :)
I love being together with family. They are so fun! Here's the girls with Sarah...
Scott and I bought Dad and Mom this pretty fireplace for their back deck. Kyle helped Scott put it together.

On the 4th we went to a BBQ at the Robertsons. There was lots of great food, fun and swimming. My water baby Peyton...
Luckily we were able to steal Dad away from the rehab center so he could enjoy the day with us as well.

These 2 girls are BUDDIES! They are so stinking cute together but we dread the day they're teenagers cause they're quite mischievous. Ahhhh.....Peyton and Adelle.
After the BBQ we headed to Dad and Mom's for fireworks. Poor Kaleigh had been kind of out-of-whack the whole day and didn't want to do anything but sleep. I took her to the Dr. the next day and she was diagnosed with walking pneumonia. Poor baby!
Speaking of sleep....
I love the summer storms we get here. They are amazing and produce the prettiest rainbows.

Kaleigh ordered larvae online so she could raise her own butterflies and ladybugs. It was a lot of fun!

Summer skies; i love 'em!
The 7th was Nan's Bday so we, as well as Mom, Sarah and Kyle went to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate. Happy Birthday Nana!

The 9th was Scott's companies Summer BBQ. They had lots of good food and fun things for the girls to do, including the famous cow train.

Dexter is a perfect dog. Honestly. He is a sweetie pie, is fully potty & kennel trained and we love him to pieces. Now that we have him we can't imagine life without him. He is quite spoiled too, i must say! :)
Summertime is packed with play dates! I think there is a t least one extra child at our house everyday. The girls love it!
Our beloved Denali was almost out of warranty and we were growing antsy, so we decided to trade it in.We loved that car, even though it was a gas hog! Good memories...

While car shopping we were leaning toward another SUV until this beauty stole Scott's heart. It's a Chrysler 300 C, Americana package fully loaded with a Hemi and all. You know what that means? This sucker is FAST!!! It was also the "pimped out" version with custom rims, custom sound system and it has been lowered. It fit our personalities so we bought it. We couldn't resist and we LOOOOOVE it!!!
What a beauty!
Scott's favorite feature is the Hemi engine cause it gets up and moooooves. My favorite is the sound system and seat heaters. The girls favorite feature is the speed and DVD player. All in all it was a very good purchase!
