On the 1st we had a combined Birthday Party for Shayla and Peyton. We had family and some close friends over and had a nice backyard BBQ. We appreciate everyone who came to help us make the day special for the girls. They got lots of great gifts and we appreciate all those as well! Here are some of the memories from that day...
I have to tell you the story behind this dress. My Mom made Sarah a full-on mini brides dress when she was little. She still has it at her house and every time Peyton went over she wanted to wear the dress. Well, Peyton's favorite movie was The Corpse Bride so Mom, being the awesome Grandma she is, made Peyton her very own Corpse Bride dress! Peyton loves it and we appreciate all the time and effort Mom put into it. She is so freaking talented! She even made a matching veil and bouquet to go with it. Wow!
It was a great party and at the end Kaleigh, Shayla, Peyton and Axton sent balloons up to heaven for Uncle Mikey. ♥
There are an abundance of cool bugs here and they are in full swing in September and October. I love holding them and admiring their uniqueness. I especially love leaf bugs! They're so cool! Peyton is unsure if she shares my admiration.

Peyton got this cute hat for her bday and she loves walking around with the face pulled down. Silly girl!
