July 2011, part 2

Shayla loves doing Peyton's hair. On this particular day she thought it would be a good idea to put almost ALL their clips in Peyt's hair. It took forever to get out, but it was cute! Yowza!

Perhaps one of our favorite summertime activities is to take a drive down Baccus Hwy. at sunset. The sunsets here are AMAZING!!!

Did I mention Scott loooves his new Hemi?! ;)

During summer the girls and I are rarely indoors. We do everything outside including eating all 3 meals under the gazebo.

Summer morning rock!

Our sweet Dexter...

The girls grew their own butterflies and ladybugs. They did such a good job taking care of them until release time. We released 20 beautiful ladybugs and 8 beautiful butterflies.

Farewell buggies! (Dexter ended up eating one of our butterflies while it was trying to fly away...yuck!)

On the 23rd it was our annual neighborhood Pioneer Day Parade. I do a free lemonade stand for all the passer-by's. Here's Kaleigh helping me set-up.

Thankfully it was on a Saturday this year so Scott was able to be there. He pulled Peyton in the wagon. Mom and Nana decided to come join us. Shayla was my little helper the whole time and did a great job. All the kids loved petting Dexter.

After one of the girls' sleepovers they all asked me to make a huge breakfast the next morning. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, hot chocolate and orange juice, oh my!

On the 25th Lisa, Rob and the girls came to town so I had all the family over for a BBQ. It was so fun! I LOVE having everyone together!!

Peyton and Axton are so cute together! They are little buddies and love hanging out in the playhouse together.

Danny and Shayla battled Kaleigh, Axton and I on the teeter-totter. Danny won! Obviously. Lol

Dan, Rob and Scott are so funny together!

Mama and her girls. ♥On the 26th Kaleigh started her 1st day of Fourth grade. I can't believe she's that old already! She has a great teacher and is loving school.

That night we did our traditional back-to-school dinner. They picked their favorite food and I made their special cake.

On the 27th Shayla started her 1st day of First grade. She also has a great teacher and is enjoying school. The adjustment to all day school was rough for her the first couple weeks.

Have I mentioned that I love, love, love Dexter!? How freaking cute is he?!

Kaleigh's second day and Shayla's first day....a success! Yay!!!The 27th was also Mom's Bday. We were having an entire family dinner the next day but I couldn't stand to not cook for her so I had Dad, Mom, Nana, Lisa, Rob and the girls over for dinner. It was deelish! Happy BDay Mama!!!

My big sissy and I ♥

Take a trampoline and add cousins and you'll get lots of laughter and fun!

The next day, the 28th, Lisa and I took the girlies swimming. I love this lady! It was so fun to just sit and talk, talk, talk. :)

The girls had a blast! (Peyton decided she'd rather stay home with Grandma)

That night we all went to La Hacienda for Mom's Bday. Here's Nana, Mom, Dad, Sarah, Axton, Danny, Gabe and Kyle. (Unfortunately Megan had a work party that night)

Here's me, Kaleigh, Shayla, Scott, Peyton, Rob, Ava, Maddie and Lisa. The food, as always, was AMAZING! I'm obsessed with their chile verde enchiladas.

After dinner we headed back to Dad and Moms for some picture taking. We were able to steal Dad away from the hospital for a few hours. Here's Dad and Mom with their kiddos, minus Mikey, whom we miss SO bad! Here's Nana with all her great-grand kids on our side, minus Corey, whom we also love and miss dearly! It was a great night! Lisa and family left the next day. It was so much fun having them here!

I love that Dexter matches the tile in the kitchen, although he gets stepped on a lot because of it!
